I consider myself a dedicated foodie, an aspiring fashionista and a would be intellectual, all important to crafting these tours. I was born here, worked and played in New York City for decades, even though I now live in the Hudson Valley, New York City is still my beat, my passion.

…Dominique Ansel, In my opinion, the best baker in New York City. …he created the cronut and convinced thousands to line up at 7am to get a taste of this combination donut and croissant, while supplies last.  He won me over because he prefers to serve Proust madelines, made-to-order and eaten warm. Ansel now offers, a seven week in advance reservation , $75 patisserie tasting. Unlikely with a 7 week advance reservation policy, we can offer his patisserie tastings. We can, however, put together an amazing tasting from his bakery offerings. And report our dessert tasting experience where the table is lowered from the ceiling on cables.


…April Bloomfield…perfects her craft in three restaurants: spotted pig; salvation taco, a taqueria; and the breslin at the ace hotel. The breslin’s  lamb burger and interaction with pat la freida, meat purveyor extraordinaire,  exemplifies her dedication to excellence. We will visit 2 or 3 of her restaurants.


…Daniel Boulud… 3 different restaurants within steps of each other: a drink and appetizers in the lounge at boulud sud featuring mediterranean food;charcuterie at bar boulud; sampling at  epicerie his deli-like store with everything from vienoisserie to artisanal cheese.
