Comments from a recent participant in one of our New Orleans tours:
“It’s always good to be back home…but I truly loved the New Orleans
experience.

Our company was in Louisiana for many years, but I never got
to understand and enjoy the culture that was New Orleans.

Thanks for the diversity of the program and for keeping the hurricanes away........

Thank you Felicia, This wonderful lady splits her time between Boston & Boca Raton.

She has taken 5 SWT Tours. We must be doing something right.

If you love music, make the French Quarter Festival 2016 the highlight of your travel plans.

French Quarter Festival

You can hear every kind of music from Wynton Marsalis type jazz to Dixieland and more.

 New Orleans residents  tell us:

  • We like the French Quarter Festival more than Jazz Fest because it features only local musicians.
  • The locatons are better than Jazz Fest and easier to get to
  • Seating, bring or buy locally folding light weight chair.
  • It's Free

Our hotel, the Royal Sonesta, is venue for several events. The hotel requires payment of one night deposit  when booking refundable if cancelled 30 days before arrival date.

MY 2014 FRENCH QUARTER FESTIVAL EXPERIENCE…

THE MYTH… THE FESTIVAL WILL BE TOO CROWDED, AND IT WILL BE DIFFICULT TO REACH MUSIC VENUES

THE REALITY…730,000 PEOPLE ATTENDED THE FESTIVAL IN 2014 , UP FROM 2013, BUT THE FESTIVAL WAS EASY TO MANEUVER ON ALL LEVELS. I WAS ABLE TO GET A TAXI EVERYWHERE AND EITHER FOUND A SEAT CLOSE BY MUSIC OR WAS ABLE TO STAND CLOSE TO THE MUSICIANS

zydeco cajun music and dancing...

The Music…Great…some of the best was street bands. I fell in love with zydeco and the crowd who danced along. Jackson Square, Royal Street, Chevron venue, Mayfield Jazz Club were some of venues I enjoyed.

The Food…50 cent oysters, Death by Gumbo, lasagna were some of the food I feasted on. I took a $30 taxi ride to sample a highly reviewed poboy sandwich spot, supposedly with the best roast beef sandwich. I ate half of my $11 sandwich and threw the rest away because it was horrible. You won't have to makew that same mistake.

From grilled oysters with bacon and gorgonzola to classic lasagna

Royal Sonesta Hotel

More than one dozen stages will rock the French Quarter for the 3 day festival. Music lovers will find traditional and contemporary jazz. Latin, rhythm and blues. Cajun and zydeco. Look for more than 100 of New Orleans favorite musical performers t entertain.
