PUGLIA, ITALY

Spectacular setting...gourmet restaurant at Polignano a Mare

Once you have visited all the major tourist cities in Italy, it’s time to go further afield to Puglia located in the heel of the boot, a region some people call the next Tuscany. Puglia is unique in so many ways both historically and geographically. Located about 125 miles south of Naples, with the Adriatic a major attraction. Read about Puglia History and Culture Here.

A VERY SPECIAL PLACE TO STAY
Villa Cappelli, is our home, for the duration of our tour.

Wine Tasting evening with sommelier & Gorgeous Stone Patio at Villa Cappelli

Villa Cappelli, is a working agriturismo, so you will be exposed to the  olive and fruit orchards.  A broad definition of an agriturismo is a working farm that accepts tourists for meals and/or stays. They range from the rustic to the elegant such as Villa Cappelli.

The Villa has 10 bedrooms, numerous common spaces, a beautiful pool  and a welcoming kitchen where guests are encouraged to help with the cooking.

Your 7 days in Puglia delves into the history of the area, its food and culture. Enjoy a variety of meals out at 2 agriturismos and local informal restaurants specializing in the regional cuisine, and a seaside restaurant. Meals at the villa are varied with a very special seafood dinner.

Or you can choose to take a train from Rome, about 4 ½ hours. You may want to start your trip with a few days in Rome. Either way you will be picked up at the airport or the Bari train station.

According to your arrival time, enjoy a light lunch and relax.

Welcome dinner sampling Villa Cappelli’s own extra virgin olive oil and other delicacies of the region.
